Maya Anderson achieved her second double-double of the season during San José State’s women’s basketball Senior Day, despite the team’s 67-44 loss to Colorado State at the Provident Credit Union Event Center. Anderson led the Spartans with 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds, marking the highest single-game rebound total for a Spartan since Cydni Lewis recorded 17 rebounds against Eastern Washington in November 2021.
Senior Katarina Anderson opened scoring with a step-back jumper just ten seconds into the game and concluded her final home appearance with six points and four rebounds. Another senior, McKenna Simons, contributed two points and one rebound in her last home game.
Kaliyah Dillard made her first three-pointer as a Spartan and was among three players—including Maya Anderson and Amelie Sitterud—to collect four rebounds.
The Spartans will next compete as the 12-seed in the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship beginning Saturday, March 7 at the Thomas & Mack Center. Their opening game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. against the fifth seed, with all games available on the Mountain West Network.
