Camila Celis won her singles match for the San José State women’s tennis team on Apr. 13, but the Spartans lost 4-1 to Nevada in their final home match at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
The outcome marks the last opportunity for the Spartans to play at home this season, with their overall record moving to 7-13 and a conference record of 1-10. The Wolfpack improved to a 9-10 overall mark and a 5-5 record in Mountain West play.

However, Nevada clinched victories on courts one and two, earning them the doubles point. In singles action, Celis delivered a straight-set victory on court five with scores of 6-4 and 6-3. Despite strong starts from several Spartans players in their first sets, no other San José State player was able to secure another point for the team.
