On Sunday, March 23, former Independence High School standout Tevis Payne’s current college team, the Houston Christian Huskies, won 12-9 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UTRGV Vaqueros.
The game took place at UTRGV Baseball Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Vaqueros this season.
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 6 p.m. at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park against Texas A&M Aggies.
