The Mountain West Conference has released an updated football conference opponent schedule for the 2026 season after North Dakota State (NDSU) joined the league. Despite changes in the conference, San José State University’s lineup of Mountain West opponents will remain as previously announced in December.

The conference has not yet released specific dates or kickoff times for the 2026 regular season games. These details are expected to be announced at a later date.

San José State also adjusted its annual Spring Game, which will now take place on April 18 at CEFCU Stadium. More information about kickoff time and fan activities will be provided in the coming weeks.

For home games at CEFCU Stadium, San José State will face New Mexico, Northern Illinois (NIU), UNLV, and Wyoming. The Spartans have a strong record against these teams, including winning 11 of their last 13 meetings with New Mexico and six of their last eight against Wyoming. The matchup with NIU is notable as it marks only the second meeting between the two teams and their first as Mountain West Conference opponents.

On the road, San José State will play Air Force, Hawai‘i, Nevada, and UTEP. The Spartans have won recent matchups against these teams, including five straight victories over Hawai‘i and three consecutive wins against UTEP. This upcoming game with UTEP will also be their first meeting as Mountain West Conference opponents.

“The Mountain West will announce specific dates and kickoff times for the 2026 regular season conference season at a later date.”

Further updates regarding both the regular season schedule and Spring Game activities are expected soon.
