Former Archbishop Mitty High School standout Derek Sangster played with the Redlands Bulldogs as they were defeated 114-104 by the Hood Blazers in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 7.
The matchup, held at Woodsboro Bank Arena at 2:35 p.m., marked the Bulldogs’ first tournament faceoff against Hood Blazers.
Robert Vaihola will return to play for San José State men’s basketball during his senior year after spending last season at Minnesota. Coach Tim Miles praised Vaihola’s impact during his previous stints with SJSU.
