Rep. Zoe Lofgren, who represents California’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her official social media account between December 12 and December 15, 2025.
On December 12, Lofgren shared a link to her remarks, stating: “Watch my full remarks here: https://t.co/0aeQh5TLvN”.
Later that day, she reported on a meeting with Inertia Enterprises regarding advancements in fusion energy. Lofgren wrote: “I had a great meeting with Inertia Enterprises this week to discuss advancing American leadership in fusion energy and how Congress can support innovation in this field. https://t.co/LilcDTW727”.
On December 15, following an antisemitic attack at Bondi Beach in Australia, Lofgren expressed condolences and condemned hate-based violence. She stated: “As families around the world gather for Hanukkah, my heart breaks for those killed and injured in this weekend’s antisemitic attack at Australia’s Bondi Beach. Nobody should live in fear while celebrating their faith, and we must condemn antisemitism wherever it appears.”
Lofgren has represented California’s 18th district since 1995 after succeeding Don Edwards. Before her tenure in Congress, she served on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors from 1981 to 1994. Born in San Mateo in 1947 and currently residing in San Jose, Lofgren holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Santa Clara University (JD).
