Rep. Zoe Lofgren, who has represented California’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress since 1995, recently shared updates on her official X account regarding local community engagement and ongoing legislative matters.
On December 16, 2025, Lofgren posted about a visit to Hollister, stating, “Always a pleasure to visit Hollister! I had a great conversation with Mayor Roxanne Stephens and City Manager Jim Pia about projects to improve the community and how we can increase local and federal collaboration.” Later that day, she shared another post containing two links: “https://t.co/V8nmImsngo https://t.co/SHUaf0qiOM”.
On December 17, 2025, Lofgren addressed legislative priorities as the year neared its end. She wrote, “Congress has just 3 legislative days left in this year, and Republicans still don’t have a plan to extend ACA tax credits to lower Americans’ skyrocketing healthcare costs.”
Lofgren has served in Congress since replacing Don Edwards in 1995. Before her tenure in Washington D.C., she was a member of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors from 1981 to 1994. Born in San Mateo in 1947 and currently residing in San Jose, Lofgren holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Santa Clara University (JD).
