Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 18th district since 1995, used her social media platform to address constituents on voter registration, affordable housing, and healthcare issues in late October 2025.
On October 20, Lofgren reminded Californians about the voter registration deadline, posting: “CALIFORNIANS: Today is the last day for online voter registration! Make sure your voice is heard on November 4th. You can register or update your registration at https://t.co/BFfAMmuiYj. https://t.co/l83xlAzKY7”.
The following day, October 21, she highlighted her participation in a local housing initiative: “Great to be at the ribbon cutting today for Parkmoor Community Apartments and the HUB Center! I’m thankful that this project will create 81 new affordable housing units and provide a space for current and former foster youth in San Jose.”
Later on October 21, Lofgren discussed healthcare policy at a press event: “Yesterday, I held a press conference in San Jose with @RepJimmyPanetta, @RepLiccardo, healthcare professionals, and constituents to draw attention to Republicans’ healthcare crisis. They need to stop delaying and finally pass a budget that lowers Americans’ health costs.”
Lofgren has represented California’s 18th District in Congress since succeeding Don Edwards in 1995. Before her tenure in Congress, she served on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors from 1981 to 1994. Born in San Mateo in 1947 and currently residing in San Jose, Lofgren holds degrees from Stanford University (BA, 1970) and Santa Clara University (JD, 1975).
