Rep. Zoe Lofgren, who represents California’s 18th district in the U.S. Congress, used her social media account to raise concerns about government spending and to invite constituents to an upcoming tele-town hall.
On December 3, 2025, Lofgren posted: “FBI Director Kash Patel is using taxpayer funds to fly around on a $62 million jet to his girlfriend’s concerts…all while Americans struggle to pay for healthcare, rent, and groceries.” The same day, she followed up with another post providing additional documentation: “Read the letter here: https://t.co/ExlcT8e6wC”.
Addressing broader national issues and constituent engagement, Lofgren wrote on December 4, 2025: “There are so many issues facing our country, from rising healthcare costs to brutal immigration raids. I want to hear from constituents about their concerns and answer questions about how I’m fighting for #CA18 in Congress. Join me on Dec 7 @ 2pm for a tele-town hall: https://t.co/gHDmpbIQGC”
Lofgren has represented California’s 18th District since 1995 after serving on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors from 1981 to 1994. She was born in San Mateo in 1947 and currently resides in San Jose. Lofgren earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1970 and received her law degree from Santa Clara University in 1975.
