Leo Sahlin Wallenius was recognized as Sharks Prospect of the Week on December 30. Wallenius contributed to Team Sweden’s gold medal victory at the 2026 World Juniors by defeating Team Czechia on January 5. He was named player of the game after registering two assists against Germany and finished the tournament with six points across seven games.
The San Jose Barracuda have posted a record of 6-3-0-1 over their last ten games, tying them for third place in the AHL Pacific Division. The team ranks tied for second in power-play goals this season and holds a top-five power play percentage league-wide.
Filip Bystedt leads San Jose Barracuda scoring with 26 points through 31 games this season, nearing his career highs from last year. Pavol Regenda returned to play for the San Jose Sharks on December 30 and scored his first NHL hat trick on January 3 against Tampa Bay; he has six goals in six games with San Jose this season.
Goaltender Jakub Skarek recorded his eleventh win of the season during a shootout victory at San Diego, achieving a .929 save percentage—his second-best mark on the road this year—and has maintained a .900 or better save percentage over his last four appearances.

Internationally, Yegor Spiridonov is approaching his VHL career-high goal total playing for Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk while Yaroslav Korostelyov has notched wins in seven out of eight recent starts—including three shutouts—for SKA-1946.
