San José State athletics teams prepare for competitions across multiple sports this week

San José State University athletics teams are preparing for a busy week of competition across several sports.

The men’s basketball team will travel to play Colorado State on Saturday, February 7 at Moby Arena. The Spartans are coming off losses to Boise State and New Mexico, with scores of 89-58 and 90-80, respectively. Fans can follow the game through a live stream, live stats, or radio broadcast.

The women’s basketball team is set to host two home games this week. They will face Fresno State on Wednesday, February 4 and San Diego State on Saturday, February 7 at the Provident Credit Union Event Center. The team lost its last matchup against Boise State with a score of 96-62. Tickets for both games are available online.

In women’s tennis, San José State will compete against Pacific on Friday, February 6 at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center in Stockton. Last week, the Spartans defeated Dominican (Cal.) with a decisive 7-0 victory.

The women’s gymnastics squad travels to Boise for a meet against Boise State, Oregon State, and UC Davis on Friday, February 6 at ExtraMile Arena. In their previous outing on Sunday, February 1, the Spartans finished first in a tri-meet versus Southern Utah and Texas Women’s University with a score of 195.900.

Men’s golf will participate in the Amer Ari Invitational from Thursday to Saturday in Kohala, Hawai‘i after finishing eleventh out of thirteen teams at the Southwestern Intercollegiate last week.

Women’s golf continues play in the Therese Hession Regional Challenge through Tuesday in Palos Verdes Estates after recently competing in the Nanea Invitational in Hawai‘i.

Track & field athletes head to Reno for the Wolfpack Classic & Multi’s on Friday and Saturday following their participation in the Nevada Invitational earlier this month.

The softball team opens its season at the Stanford Tournament this weekend. The Spartans will face nationally ranked Oklahoma State and Stanford on Friday; California and Stanford again on Saturday; and conclude with another game against California on Sunday at Stanford Softball Stadium.
