The San José State softball team is set to host the Silicon Valley Classic II, closing out its non-conference schedule with games against Santa Clara and Saint Mary’s. The event will be held at the Spartan Softball Complex from Saturday, March 7, through Sunday, March 8.

San José State will face Santa Clara in a doubleheader on Saturday and then play Saint Mary’s in another doubleheader on Sunday. Both days’ games are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. All four contests will be streamed on Mountain West Network, with Sunday’s 10 a.m. game also airing on NBC Sports California.

Historically, San José State has performed well against its upcoming opponents. The Spartans have a 76-33 all-time record over Santa Clara, splitting two games last season. Against Saint Mary’s, San José State holds a 43-16 record and won their previous encounter on April 17, 2024.

On the individual side, Reina Zermeno is currently tied for first in the Mountain West Conference in triples with two this season.
