San José State stands thirteenth after two rounds at Therese Hession Regional Challenge

Isabella Cioe led the San José State women’s golf team in the second round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, shooting an even-par 71 at Palos Verdes Golf Club on Monday. The Spartans are currently in 13th place after two rounds of play.

Cioe recorded six birdies during her round and posted a 1-under 34 on the front nine. She is tied for 49th overall with a total score of 8-over 150 after two rounds.

Kleopatra Kozakiewicz remains among the top 20 competitors, finishing with a 4-over 75 in the second round and standing at 3-over (145) for the tournament. Regina Roldan shot a consistent performance with a second consecutive round of 2-over 73, tying her for 27th place at 4-over (146).

Other Spartan golfers include Moa Andersson, who is tied for 76th at 13-over after carding a 78, and Lotte Schuhr, who is tied for 81st at 15-over par.

The final round will begin Tuesday morning with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start.

In team standings after two rounds, UCLA leads with a combined score of -2 (566), followed by Florida (+6), Texas (+8), Texas A&M (+9), Pepperdine and SMU (both +12). San José State sits in thirteenth place at +27 (595).
