The San José State women’s swimming team finished in 13th place at the 2026 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) National Invitational Championships, according to a statement released on March 14.

The event, held in Ocala, Florida, saw the Spartans achieve six top-10 finishes over the weekend. The team’s performance included several standout swims and new school records.

The Spartans’ 400 medley relay team—composed of Genevieve George, Vilma Lindberg, Lillie Grover, and Dalton Sickon—secured second place with a time of 3:39.72. This result marked the third-fastest time in school history for that event. In addition, the 200 freestyle relay team of Grover, Lais e Silva, Nikki Lahey, and Sickon opened the meet by finishing fourth with a time of 1:32.10.

Individually, Vilma Lindberg set a new school record in the 50 breaststroke with a fourth-place finish at 28.30 seconds and also placed eighth in the 100 breaststroke at 1:01.86. Lillie Grover contributed by finishing fourth in the 200 butterfly (1:59.28) and eighth in the 100 butterfly (53.74). Other notable performances included Dalton Sickon’s fifth-place finish in the 50 freestyle (23.25) and strong showings from teammates across multiple events.

San José State ended with a total of 222 points in the team standings out of more than a dozen competing schools; Kentucky led with 553 points.

Looking ahead, these results highlight continued progress for San José State’s women’s swimming program as they build on their achievements at national-level competitions.
