The San José State women’s tennis team announced on April 12 that its upcoming match against Nevada will now take place on Monday, April 13, at 1:00 p.m. at the Spartan Tennis Complex. The change was made because of expected bad weather.

The adjustment in schedule aims to ensure player safety and optimal playing conditions for both teams.

In their previous meeting with Nevada, the Spartans lost narrowly by a score of 4-3. Emma Fantousis and Soledad Fayos Capilla each secured three-set victories in singles matches during that contest. In the current season, San José State previously defeated the Wolves with a decisive 4-0 win, highlighted by Duru Durgun’s straight-set victory in singles play.

Durgun has achieved a singles dual play record of nine wins and five losses this season and holds a conference record of three wins and two losses. Fantousis also has an eight-win, six-loss record in singles dual play and is three-and-two in conference competition.

The Spartans’ next match against Nevada will be an opportunity for both teams to build on their recent performances as they continue through the season.
