Cost of college went up for all students at Cogswell College

Tuition and fees rose 2.1 percent for 2018-19 at Cogswell College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $20,056 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $408 more than the $19,648 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 86 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 39 students received grants or scholarships totaling $280,205 and 44 students took out student loans totaling more than $382,778.

Including all undergraduates (599), 414 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4.1 million, and 406 students took out $3.2 million in federal student loans.
