San José Works will host a job fair at Emma Prusch Farm Park on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The event is open to all job seekers, with a special focus on opportunities for youth ages 16 and up.
According to Ruby Carrasco, Program Manager at San José Works, the job fair will feature a variety of employers offering positions at both entry and managerial levels. Some of the participating companies include California’s Great America, McDonald’s, Safeway, United States Postal Service, Nothing Bundt Cakes, San Jose Conservation Corps, and JUMA Ventures.
Carrasco highlighted that San José Works is a job assistance program specifically designed for youth and residents of San José between the ages of 16 and 29. The program offers a range of employment and career services, such as job assistance, resume building, job fairs, and supportive services. San José Works is part of the regional workforce development program, work2future.
