The City of San José Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) Department, along with District 8 Councilmember Domingo Candelas and local residents, will unveil the renovated sports courts at Groesbeck Park. The event is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to noon at Klein Rd. and Cedardale Dr., San José, CA 95148.

Groesbeck Park has long been popular for outdoor activities. The recent renovations include refreshed tennis courts and the addition of four new pickleball courts, marking the first such facilities in East San José. Specific improvements involve resurfacing and striping two tennis courts as well as replacing and installing posts and nets for the new pickleball courts.

Ed Bautista, Communications Manager for Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services, can be contacted at 408-460-4468 or ed.bautista@sanjoseca.gov for further details. Teddy Adera, Chief of Staff for Councilmember Domingo Candelas' office, is also available at 408-973-3124 or teddy.adera@sanjoseca.gov.

Councilmember Domingo Candelas stated that these renovations are part of broader efforts to enhance community spaces: "This newly renovated community space is one of many ways residents can enjoy a safe, fun and healthy San José."
