The City of San José has announced the list of participating venues and musicians for Make Music San José, an annual day of free music. The event will take place on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 11 p.m., featuring more than 60 musicians performing at 27 venues throughout San José.
For a complete list of venues, performers, and genres of music playing at each site, visit www.MakeMusicDay.org/SanJose. Make Music Day celebrates music in all its forms and encourages both professional and amateur musicians to come together and play in free public concerts.
Held annually on June 21 to coincide with the summer solstice, Make Music Day is part of the international Fête de la Musique, which takes place in more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries. The City of San José’s Office of Economic Development and Cultural Affairs (OEDCA) has led the local edition, Make Music San José, since 2017.
