Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 18th district, recently shared updates on various initiatives through her social media account. She remarked on Twitter that "The lack of affordable housing is a crisis in CA-18 & in communities across the country...I again joined @RepJimmyPanetta & colleagues in reintroducing legislation to encourage & accelerate the construction of new, affordable housing units."

Later that same day, Rep. Lofgren expressed her support for a letter from Attorney General Rob Bonta urging reconsideration of contracts with private immigration detention centers in California by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
