Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 18th district, recently shared her views on several political matters through a series of tweets. Known for her tenure since 1995 and her previous service on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, Lofgren continues to be an active voice in legislative discussions.

On March 14, 2025, Rep. Lofgren addressed Senate Democrats, urging them to demonstrate their wisdom by rejecting what she describes as the Republicans' "partisan funding gambit." She emphasized that there is still time for Senate Democrats to show they have "the spine to follow through with your enlightened wisdom" and criticized the GOP's absence from negotiations. "Senate Democrats: For years, I’ve heard the upper chamber thinks the Senate is wiser than the House. There is still time to prove you have the spine to follow through with your enlightened wisdom & reject Republicans' partisan funding gambit."

Later that day, Lofgren commented on former President Donald Trump's acknowledgment of Chuck Schumer's role in government dismantling efforts. She dismissed support for Continuing Resolutions (CR) tied to amendment votes as a "fake fight," implying skepticism about its effectiveness or sincerity. "Donald Trump has thanked Chuck Schumer for his help in dismantling the federal government."

On March 17, 2025, Rep. Lofgren reflected on her work with the January 6 Select Committee investigating former President Trump's actions related to overturning the 2020 election results. She asserted that despite attempts by Trump to "erase the truth," their findings remain intact and unyielding against intimidation or silence tactics. "The members of the January 6 Select Committee did our legislative work uncovering the role Trump played in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election."
