The City of San José has released a public review draft for the Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) concerning the proposed Silverado Memory Care Community Project. The development, planned for the northeastern corner of Union Avenue and Cambrianna Drive, involves constructing a two-story memory care residential facility.
The project will feature 70 units with a total of 94 beds, alongside a surface parking lot and a community garden. The building will cover approximately 48,051 square feet, with 25,145 square feet on the first floor and 22,906 square feet on the second floor.
The development necessitates the removal of 14 ordinance-sized trees and three non-ordinance-sized trees from the site. To compensate, the plan includes planting 115 new trees around the perimeter and near the proposed building.
Vehicular access to the site will be facilitated by a single driveway from Union Avenue located to the west of the project area. Internal vehicular circulation will be supported by a 26-feet-wide drive aisle surrounding three sides—west, north, and east—of the proposed structure, leading to surface parking.
The project's address is 1975 Cambrianna Drive in San José, California (Assessor's Parcel Number: 414-21-063). The public circulation period for reviewing this draft MND runs from Wednesday, May 22, 2024, to Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
