Jake Pisani, Public Information Manager for the San José Fire Department (SJFD), has announced that the department is set to host its fifth annual Women’s+ Boot Camp. The event will take place at the San José Fire Department Training Center, located at 1591 Senter Rd., San José, CA 95112.

The SJFD has extended an invitation to media outlets to attend for b-roll of the workout and interviews with Boot Camp staff from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The Women’s+ Boot Camp is designed as an opportunity for interested individuals to gain insight into a career in the fire service. The event's agenda includes a 90-minute circuit training workout, hands-on experience with firefighting tools and equipment, and a Q&A session with active and retired SJFD female firefighters.

This free event is open to 75 adult participants aged 18 and above, including non-binary, gender non-conforming, and trans women community members. Prior registration was required for participation and all available spots were reserved within five hours of the registration launch on April 18.
